I'm sure there's a million of other ideas for nations!įrench/American Zouaves, Maxim machine guns, ironclad ships, torpedo boats, pre-dreadnaughts, lancers, armoured trains, rockets, naval rams, cannon, floating battery (armoured floating cannon towers!), just a few units that could feature. South American nations (there's so many to choose, including Chile, Peru, Brazil.)Įgypt (was an autonomous part of the Ottoman Empire that invaded various other North African countries and also attacked the Ottomans themselves). USA (maybe as the big upgrade of a Union/Confederates 'nation') Kingdom of Italy (maybe big upgrade of Naples/Venice/Sardinia/etc?) Germany (maybe the big upgrade of Prussia?) The last 'Technological Innovation' upgrade will see early machine guns appearing and Khaki uniforms (i.e early camouflage) being used. Instead of ' ages' to age up, we will have a couple of ' Technological Innovation' upgrades, where your mainly musket-wielding army starts to use rifles as their main firearms (rather than just skirmishing) and adopt more modern formations. This would, like Cossacks, bring new upgrades and buildings, and maybe something new like uniform changes and slight national bonuses.

I would have liked to have the Napoleonic era included, however uniforms/nations/troop types change quite a bit!Īs it would be set broadly within the 19th century, ageing up to the next epoch would be changed to researching an important, expensive upgrade in the same building (just a name change essentially!), for example Prussia can research 'Unification of Germany'.

This age covers various revolutions, the Pax Britannica, a significant sum of the Belle Epoque and the Scramble for Africa, South American revolutions, and much more - a huge wealth of subject matter to draw from. To get the ball rolling, I'd like to add my idea - 'Empire & Uprisings'Įmpires & Uprisings would be a total conversion that broadens the European Warfare aspect to worldwide and would focus on the 19th century - broadly after the Napoleonic Era until the end of the Boer Wars.
